Dr Georgios Boudalis, Senior Book Conservator at the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki (Greece), will give a hybrid public lecture on “Wax Tablet Codices and the Evolution of the Papyrus Codex: Insights from Established and Recent Findings” at the University of Naples “L’Orientale” on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, at 4 PM CET.
The lecture is organized within the framework of the ERC project “TabulaRasa. Clay, wax, and the impact of erasable writing technologies on manuscript cultures” (GA 101170566), and part of the activities of the Centro per lo studio e l’edizione dei testi (CESET).
